Introduction
W & G Machine Company Incorporated (W & G), has been a part of the aerospace industry as a supplier of helicopter spares since 1952. Originally the company was a supplier of spares to the Sikorsky Aircraft Company for their full fleet of aircraft. This arrangement changed in the early 1980’s when W & G’s role as a Sikorsky supplier ended to allow the company more autonomy and independence. As a result of this change in strategic direction, the core business of W & G expanded with the primary focus changing to the US Department of Defense, in particular, the US Army.
In more recent years, commencing from about 1987, W & G expanded its business further by seeking contracts from overseas operators of Sikorsky and Boeing built aircraft,
W & G’s customer base now includes the Pacific Basin and NATO operators. The broadening of the customer base has also included the number of aircraft types supported which now extends to Sikorsky (UH60, SH60, H53, H3), Boeing (CH47) and McDonnell Douglas (AH-64 Apache).
Current Role of W & G Machine Company
Today the core business of W & G Machine Company is to provide spare parts support and related logistics services to the US Military helicopter fleet of Sikorsky and Boeing aircraft. This is achieved through the various US Defense Logistics Agencies (DLA) who have been delegated the procurement tasks by the Pentagon and also the individual Service Logistics Commands.
Product Range - Manufacturing Capability
W & G Machine Company is a general contractor capable of manufacturing a wide range of helicopter and aircraft components and assemblies in accordance with the OEM specifications and blueprints. Generally, the product line of manufactured components excludes engines and transmissions that are typically sole-sourced only to the OEM. However, W & G has the capability to manufacture, repair and fabricate components and sub-components, and complete the final assembly for a wide range of parts utilizing only OEM and W & G approved sources for material supplies and processes.
W & G manufactures and supplies only Factory New components.
W & G manufactured components include In-Flight Refueling Probe Assemblies (CH53), Piston Assemblies (UH60, SH60, CH53, CH47D), Landing Gear Tail Fork Assembly, Drive Shafts, Drag Beam Axles, Main Rotor head Damper Assemblies, Shaft Assemblies, Control Stick Assemblies, Connecting Links, Rod End Assemblies, and Lock Rings (UH60) to name just a few.

We offer precision manufacturing solutions from raw material to completed product meeting your design criteria. All of RTC Aerospace's locations are AS9100 certified and are independently managed.
Repair and Overhaul Capability
W & G Machine Company is involved in facilitating the overhaul and repair of Sikorsky components including Main and Tail Rotor Blades, landing gears, main and tail rotor transmissions, horizontal stabilators and other components.
Flight Safety Parts
W & G is authorized to manufacture a range of Flight Safety Parts (FSP) for the US DOD, the Government of Israel and is a supplier of Flight Safety Parts to the UK MoD for the Royal Air Force CH47 fleet. As an ISO 9001-2000 registered company, W & G Machine Company’s Flight Safety Parts procedures have been approved by the US DOD and designed specifically to meet US DOD FSP production requirements. All parts supplied against US Government and Government of Israel contracts is Government Source Inspected (GSI) on site at the W & G facility (unless otherwise specified in the contract). First Article pieces and First Article Test Reports typically are contracted for Flight Safety Parts.
Quality Control and Inspection
All detail components of assemblies are 100% inspected (both 100% in terms of lot size and dimensional criteria per the blueprint drawings) prior to being used in any assemblies.
Blue Print specification requirements are provided to W & G sub-contractors routinely via all purchase orders and mandate the use of OEM approved processes and sources. This ensures components and material supplied to W & G are identical in terms of all technical specifications and characteristics to those supplied to the prime manufacturer. In many instances, it is the same vendor used by the prime manufacturer.
AS9100C and ISO 9001-2000 Accreditation - Quality Assurance in Production, Installation, and Servicing
In July 1998, W & G was accredited as an ISO 9002 Quality Assured Firm for the ‘manufacture, supply and overhaul of aerospace components and assemblies for military applications’. The certification was re-certified to AS(100C/ISO 9001-2000 in 2001, and continues to through our current year into 2024. The ISO accreditation audit of W & G Machine Company was witnessed by US DOD Defense Contract Management Command QAR representatives for certification as a qualified Defense contractor
